Jacki - Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner
In the family law context, mediation is mandatory in parenting disputes. Before Court proceedings can be commenced, parents must attend a mediation with an Accredited Dispute Resolution Practitioner. There are some exceptions to this requirement including any immediate risk of harm to the children or family violence factors.
As the Principal also of Family Law Mediation and Counselling in Brisbane, I work with clients who are separating, divorced or experiencing domestic violence.
As an approved Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner since 2017 under the Family Law Regulations, I am passionate about helping you to resolve your matter. Family dispute resolution assists couples and families to resolve parenting and property disputes following separation. Parenting Plans can be made to set agreed arrangements for children and parenting plans that both parents have mediated can reflect children’s long-term needs. In some cases, mediation is not suitable and a court-imposed order is the only solution. If the legal matter requires expert knowledge, it is important to engage with a specialist. Family Law Mediation and Counselling offer a solicitor referral service.
Family Law Mediation and Counselling provides a range of services to assist those experiencing violence or abuse in their relationships. If you are in conflict in any aspect of your life, then we recommend that you contact us for assistance.
Our standard Mediations are set for 3 hours in our Brisbane Office. We require payment of our costs prior to or at intake and for the mediation, payment is required prior to the mediation to secure the mediation date.
